• Cassia Surattensis (also known as Sunshine Tree) is a fast-growing flowering tree that could nearly grow up to the height of 4.5m. They bloom in full Sunlight, all-year round and are mostly beautiful and prolonged. These trees are possessed with silver-Gray coloured branches and trunks with pale yellow blossoms appearing at the end of the branches. And their presence could be one of the main reasons to attract a bunch of butterflies to your garden.

Cassia Surattensis consists of some medicinal values, used in folk medicines.

• Traces of these Sunshine trees’ usage could be found in some of Asian traditional medicines. Their seeds have been known for showing antifungal, antioxidant and antibacterial activities towards fungal or bacterial conditions. The decoction of their roots has been commonly used to treat snake bites and their leaves are consumed to deal with sore throat and cough.
