Furcraea Foetida (Giant Cabuya) is a high valued ornamental plant.

  • Furcraea Foetida, also known as Giant Cabuya is an evergreen succulent plant, native originated to northern South America and the Caribbean. Grows up to 1.2 – 1.5m in height. Emerges into the form of upright fountain, with strap-like foliage. These leaves are of dominant cream colours with green-coloured borders. A Green turning to white-cream flower blooms, which gives suckers for several weeks and is attractive to bees and other pollinators. Furcraea Foetida, usually blooms in a stalk and also gives bulbils too. With attractive foliage and easy to care condition make them relevant for Ornamental purpose at rock gardens, Mediterranean gardens and succulent gardens etc.

Furcraea Foetida (Giant Cabuya) is easy to care for.

  • Also known as Mauritius hemp plant, these evergreen plants perform well in full sunlight to partial shade conditions. Water them enough to keep soil moist, but not wet. The soil on which these plants are supposed to be grown must be well-drained. Ideally, they could tolerate temperature up to (-2.8) degree Celsius. In terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizers.
