Dwarf umbrella tree is the most popular plant species among Schefflera plants.

  • The Dwarf Umbrella tree also known as Schefflera Arboricola ‘Compacta’. It grows to size between 1 – 2.5m tall and often responds well to basic indoor conditions. Characterized with the yellow-green leaves on the lower leaves of the hand shaped leaves. Making it a relevant spot for your space provides an optimal tropical feeling. Due to its attractive appearance and easy-care condition, Dwarf Umbrella tree is well recommended for ornamental purposes.

Dwarf umbrella tree is easy to care for.

  • Dwarf umbrella tree (Aka Schefflera Arboricola) performs well when kept in presence of Basic bright light condition. Avoid any direct sunlight. Water requirement is less. Apply once the top soil feels dry. Do not overwater. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained and preferred to be potting mix containing 2 parts of peat moss and 1-part of perlite. They do grow well when temperature is between 15 – 24 degree Celsius, but could not tolerate less than 13-degree Celsius. And in terms of feeding, use diluted fertilizer once a month from spring – fall.

  • All parts of Schefflera Arboricola are generally poisonous. It’s due to the presence of calcium oxalate crystals in them. Any kind of ingestion may cause symptoms like diarrhoea, vomiting, difficulty swallowing and excessive drooling. Therefore, its not safe to keep them near your children or pets.
