Trumpet Bush - Tecoma Smithii

Trumpet Bush (Campsis Radicans) is a high valued flower plant.

• With Native to eastern North America, these vines are known for their spectacular reddish orange flowers that blooms throughout Summer seasons. And these trumpet-shaped flowers are of long-lasting nature, which emerge in a form of cluster from its branch ends. Their attractive bean-like seed pods inside flowers are responsible for attracting Hummingbirds from a distance. • Trumpet Bush (Aka Campsis Radicans) grow at its best in presence of full sunlight to partial shade. Water them moderately and as they get mature, they become tolerant toward heat, cold and drought too. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained and kept moist. Ideal temperature for their healthy growth is 20 to 35 degree Celsius. In terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizers.

• Their leaves sap could be applied as a poultice, in order to reduce inflammation. These leaves are also used to treat skin warts and calluses. When these leaves are boiled in tea and consumed, it could help in respiratory infections. They also come in use to treat dropsy, diabetes and high blood pressure.
