• The root and rhizome of Hydrangea Macrophylla are used to make medicines that can be used to treat urinary tract problems like infections in bladder, prostate, urethra and kidney stones. They are also useful in treating high fever.

• Hydrangea Macrophylla are perennial shrubs that grow up to 2 m tall with 2.5 m broadness, and with large heads of pink or blue flowers of star-shapes which grow in summer and autumn. These usually emerge in the shape of large clusters. They blossom in a colour like blue, red, pink, light purple, or dark purple depending upon pH factors of the soil. Like say in brief, an acidic soil with pH below 7 will usually produce flowers with colour closer to blue, whereas an alkaline soil with pH above 7 will produce flowers in pink.
