These species are thorny and bear inconspicuous blooming with bougainvillea flowers surrounded by coloured papery bracts. Their stems grow in a range 20 to 30 m long in Summer climates and blossom throughout year-round. Bougainvillea plants require support such as to cover a fence, or wall and by making this it could give lovely use on wall decoration.
