1. Introduction

Plants World Trading LLC ("the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our"), registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with offices at L-14, Shop No. 8, Greece Cluster, International City, Dubai, UAE, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us through plantsworld.ae (the "Website" or "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have — including your rights under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL"). By using the Website or placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.

"You" / "User" — the individual visiting or ordering from the Website, or the business on whose behalf they act.
"Personal Data" — any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
"Account" — the optional customer account you may create on the Website to track orders and save details.
"Service Provider" — a third-party company we engage to help operate the Website or fulfil orders (e.g. hosting, payments, delivery, analytics, marketing) on our behalf.
"Cookies" — small files placed on your device by the Website to remember information about your visit.
"Usage Data" — information collected automatically about how you use the Website (e.g. pages viewed, device, browser).

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you browse, register an account, place an order, or contact us, we may collect:

Contact details: full name, email address, phone number (including WhatsApp number where you reach us there);
Delivery information: address, Emirate/city, area, and any delivery instructions;
Order details: items purchased, order value, order history, and payment method selected (Cash on Delivery, Bank Transfer, or card/Apple Pay through our payment provider);
Account details, if you create one: login email and password (stored securely, never in plain text);
Communications you send us: messages, enquiries, complaints, or reviews sent by email, WhatsApp, phone, or the Website's contact/chat features;
Marketing preferences: whether you've opted in to receive emails, SMS, or WhatsApp messages from us.

We do not directly collect or store your full card number, CVV or expiry date. Card and other online payments are processed by our payment service provider, whose own privacy and security measures apply to that data — see Section 6.

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically (Usage Data)

When you visit the Website, certain information is collected automatically, including your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages you view, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, referring website, and general device/diagnostic data. This helps us understand how the Website is used and keep it secure and reliable.

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) for the purposes below. Where a cookie is not strictly necessary to run the Website, we will ask for your consent before it is set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal data described above to:

Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and communicate with you about them (confirmations, delivery updates, issues);
Create and manage your Account, if you choose to create one;
Provide customer support and respond to enquiries, including via WhatsApp;
Send you marketing communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp) about offers, new products, or seasonal campaigns — only where you have opted in, or as otherwise permitted by law, and always with an easy way to opt out;
Show you relevant advertising on social platforms and measure the performance of our marketing;
Analyze and improve the Website's performance, content, and user experience;
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
Comply with our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations in the UAE.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the PDPL, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process your personal data:

Your consent — for example, when you opt in to marketing emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages, or accept non-essential cookies;
Performance of a contract — to process and deliver the order you placed with us;
Legitimate business interests — such as improving the Website, preventing fraud, and general business analytics, balanced against your rights; and
Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with UAE law (for example, tax or commercial recordkeeping requirements).

6. Third-Party Service Providers & Sharing Your Information

We share personal data only where necessary, with the following categories of recipients:

Platform & hosting: Shopify Inc., which hosts the Website and powers our store, checkout, and order management.
Payment processing: our payment service provider(s) that process card and digital wallet payments at checkout on our behalf. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
Delivery & logistics: our delivery agents/couriers, who receive your name, phone number, and delivery address to fulfil your order.
Analytics: Google (Google Analytics), to understand Website usage — see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising: Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok, for ad retargeting and measurement — see their respective privacy policies linked in Section 3.3.
Marketing & messaging: our email/SMS/WhatsApp marketing and support platform(s), to send order updates and, where you've opted in, marketing messages.
Professional advisors and authorities: lawyers, auditors, or UAE government/regulatory bodies, where required to comply with the law or protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Any Service Provider we use is only permitted to process your data on our instructions and for the purposes stated in this Policy.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of the Service Providers listed in Section 6 (including Shopify, Google, Meta and TikTok) may store or process data on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where we transfer your personal data outside the UAE, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected consistently with this Policy and the PDPL — including relying on providers with appropriate contractual, security, or recognized adequacy safeguards in place. By using the Website, you acknowledge this possible transfer.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy — including to fulfil orders, respond to warranty/return claims (see our Returns, Replacements & Refunds Policy), meet UAE tax, accounting and commercial-record retention requirements, and resolve any disputes. Usage Data and cookie-based analytics data are generally retained for shorter periods, unless needed longer for security or legal reasons. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including working with reputable providers such as Shopify for secure hosting and checkout — to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights Under UAE Law

Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the PDPL, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you;
Request correction (rectification) of inaccurate or incomplete data;
Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable;
Request that we restrict certain processing of your data;
Object to processing, including for direct marketing purposes;
Receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability), where technically feasible;
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal; and
Lodge a complaint with the competent UAE data protection authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.

11. Marketing Communications & Your Choices

Where you have opted in to receive marketing emails, SMS, or WhatsApp messages from us, you can opt out at any time by:

Clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email;
Replying "STOP" to a marketing SMS, or telling us to stop via WhatsApp; or
Emailing sales@plantsworld.ae asking us to stop.

Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages we send about an order you've placed (e.g. order confirmations or delivery updates), which are necessary to fulfil your order.

12. Children's Privacy

The Website is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us at sales@plantsworld.ae and we will take steps to remove that information.

13. Third-Party Websites & Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us (for example, social media pages or delivery-partner tracking pages). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

14. Business Transfers

If Plants World Trading LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected and will notify you if your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy as a result.

15. Governing Law & Complaints

This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and its Executive Regulations, as applicable to Plants World Trading LLC as a mainland UAE business. If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you may also contact the competent UAE data protection authority.
