Brief on Lime – Aurantifolia small tree.

• Lime – Aurantifolia is a spiny small tree that bears round juicy fruits with green pulp. Also known as Key lime plants, these are shrubby by nature, with its native origin to Tropical Asia. Selective pruning could be adopted during early spring or late winter season. The fruit that it bears are initially green and glossy, then once it ripe they turn to pale-yellow. They also got a distinctive aroma too. Their leaves are also some sort of aromatic, and appear as green elliptic shapes. And these Lime – Aurantifolia also bear fragrant flowers which appear with 5 long white petals, and light purple tinge at its margins, adorned with yellow anthers.

• The fruit that this tree bears are juicy, aromatic and very acidic in flavour. They are smaller but got stranger flavourful of its kind. They do have usage in many cuisines and juice productions.

• These small trees thrive well when kept in presence of full sunlight. Water them enough to keep their soil moist, but not wet. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained and rich with organic content. To sight their healthy growth, ideally the temperature around them must be 18 – 27 degree Celsius. In terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizers and apply them during summer seasons.
